IRAs are are great source of stable, long-term deposits for the financial institution. This three hour evening format allows time to cover the basics of traditional and Roth IRAs without becoming overwhelming to the IRA novice. If you have never attended an IRA seminar, this is the place to start. If you have general knowledge of IRAs, but need a shot of confidence before IRA season cranks up, this program is for you.
Upon completion of the seminar you are able to answer the following questions.
• Who can have an IRA?
• What are the contribution limits?
• Who can make “catch-up contributions” and what are the limits?
• What are the rules for calculating distributions to participants?
• How are IRA beneficiaries determined?
• What are the options available for paying out to IRA beneficiaries?
• What are the differences between a Roth and a Traditional IRA?
This program is presented in plain language and attendees receive a detailed manual to use as a day-to-day reference tool.
Who should attend?
The seminar is designed as an introduction for employees new to the IRA area and as a refresher for those who only deal with them seasonally.
What to bring?
Attendees are asked to bring copies of their IRA documents for reference and review during the seminar.
