Risk Assessments
Workshop: An educational seminar or series of meetings emphasizing interaction and exchange of information among a usually small number of participants...Merriam-Webster
This is the second of four Workshops being offered by Pegasus. Each bank is encouraged to send two or more representatives. Our belief is that working together benefits everybody.
Our May focus is conducting risk assessments. Jack Holzknecht will lead participants in a workshop where participants will share their secrets on how to develop a risk assessment. Join Jack as he shares what he has learned in his 36 years in the banking industry. Whether you have never developed a risk assessment or have developed dozens, you and your bank will benefit from this workshop.
This workshop includes information and activities related to:
o BSA/AML
o Identity Theft
o Fair Lending
o Identifying inherent risk
o Evaluating existing procedures and controls
o Implementing remediation efforts
o Identifying residual risk
o Measuring risk.
Workshop Goal: Upon completion of the Workshop participants will understand how to conduct and document a risk assessment.
Value Added: To facilitate the ongoing exchange of ideas, participants are given access to the 2012 Pegasus Compliance Workshop Forum. This platform is provided as a community resource. Pegasus’ Workshop attendees are encouraged to post information, ideas and questions throughout the year.
A Special Note from Jack: "I am excited to be the facilitator for this Workshop. For the past 31 years I have been training bankers around the country, but this is different. I will be drawing on my experience and expertise as a trainer to encourage an active exchange of ideas among bankers with common goals, but different needs, tools and resources. I look forward to the challenge and I hope you will join me."...Jack Holzknecht
