This is the fourth of four Workshops being offered by Pegasus. Each location is limited to 40 participants.

These programs are not training sessions in the traditional sense.   We're asking for participants, not just attendees.  We want two people to come from your institution with their sleeves rolled up, ready to talk about the challenges they face, the help they need, and the ideas they want to discuss.

In these professionally facilitated peer group discussions Laura, Jack, or Ken starts the discussion, encourages your participation, and records your conclusions.  You go home with tools, ideas, peer contact information, and increased confidence that you can do the job in front of you.  Between meetings, you will have access to the 2012 Compliance Workshop Forum via the Internet where you ask questions; post sample policies and procedures; and share your experience with bankers across the state who are in the same position you are.

Possible Agenda Items:

  • Writing procedures for critical areas; e.g. opening new accounts
  • Keeping the board of directors abreast of compliance issues
  • Writing policies for areas where board oversight is critical
  • Developing compliance risk assessments
  • Preparing for a regulatory examination based on recent examinations of local institutions
  • How to evaluate key vendors for compliance support
  • Recent developments
  • Writing effective comment letters on proposed regulations
  • Developing and updating your compliance calendar
  • Identifying free or low cost compliance resources

Want to add agenda items?   Tell Laura, Ken, or Jack what is on your mind by using the Contact Us link on this website.  Each session has its own agenda of 1 - 4 topics.  You will receive advance notice of the agenda and choose the right attendees accordingly.
